addresses crucial social issues by searching for new means of stage
expression. A close observation of everyday life has become the
principal aim of the Company who create their own performances using
improvisation and performance techniques issuing from the collaborative
effort of the whole group. The
only limitations accepted by the artists involved are those imposed by
the word “theater”.The Wiczy Theater is considered a living legend of
the alternative theatre in Poland, the shows are eagerly awaited and
broadly discussed.

Romuald Wicza- Pokojski, the leader of the Wiczy Theatre from Brodnica gives his voice on behalf of young generation: " our theatre- work is the expression of our lives, the lives of other young people, and the world we inhabit (...). Our problems, complexes, failures "create" our protagonists, both on stage and in our everyday existence (...). The theatre is today searching, touching, analysing, and asking questions.". Wicza raises the aesthetic issues, as well. "Image synthetic, hard movement and abridged words- these are the means of expression that are used for creation of the place of action, the virtual unit of time (...)".

The Wiczy Theatre has had 26 performances done and presented until now.
